Alliance Francaise to launch French courses in Kozhikode
Kozhikode, Oct 25 2012: The prestigious Alliance Francaise will launch French courses in Kozhikode on October 27.
Director Alliance Francaise de Thiruvanthapuram, Alice Gauny will inaugurate the courses at Westford School of Management in the city, said a statement by the Department of French, St. Joseph's College, Devagiri.
Noted historian Prof M G S Narayanan would deliver keynote address on 'Impact of French Culture on Kerala, it said.
The local branches conducted examinations of Alliance Francaise de Paris, Ministry of National Education, such as Diplome d'Etudes en Langue Francaise (DELF) courses, which were desirable for better jobs abroad, it said.
The AC branches in India were among the 900 approved examination centres for DELF/DALF in 154 countries, including France.
More than 12,000 students appear for DELF examinatons every year at 14 centres in the country, it added.
